The GPS Source RMS216 is a rack-mounted GNSS splitter capable of delivering a signal to 16 inidividual receivers or timing synchronization modules at once. It also amplifies the input signal as it splits it, so that each output receives a powerful and accurate signal. However, its signature feature is its embedded antenna health sensor and automatic port switch when two antenna inputs are connected, one becomes the primary input and the other a redundancy measure. The health sensor continuously monitors the integrity of the primary antenna and will automatically revert to the backup input if the performance of the primary antenna falters. This way, there are no interruptions to the input essential in many GNSS operations.
The RMS216 is also available with a dual power supply option that fulfills a similar purpose, ensuring that the unit does not lose power if one supply should fail. These failsafe features, along with its convenience (the RMS216 fits all standard rackmount systems) and the ability to power 16 receivers simultaneously make this a perfect GNSS splitter for distributed antenna systems and cellular, timing, or test labs, among other uses.
