Hemisphere’s GPS V113 Compass is a product that offers outstanding positioning and heading information.
Phase centers of the antennas, which have cross-dipole and low-multipath capability, are spaced apart 50 centimeters. This makes it possible to obtain heading results of more than 0.3 degrees rms. Position accuracy exceeds 60 centimeters most of the time, because SBAS or beacon corrections are used.
The unit is compatible with NMEA 0183 and 2000 interfaces. Thus, communication protocols can be selected over a continuous gradient. Crescent Vector technology by Hemisphere delivers reliable operation of position, heading, heave, roll, and pitch data.
Company points out that its V113 is a low-cost alternative to traditional standalone GPS systems and/or typical gyrocompasses. Applications include machine mounting in open pit mining, construction, and marine purposes. The tough housing is sealed to protect the unit in extreme conditions. Fixed and pole mounts are provided for land and marine applications.
