TERRASTAR-D Positioning Service is designed to provide decimeter-level position precision worldwide. The service is supported by Precise Point Positioning (PPP), which removes or minimizes any errors created by the GNSS system by estimation, precise modeling or direct calculation.
PPP maintains position accuracy regardless of the user’s location by correcting satellite clocks and orbits. Carrier phase observations L1 and L2 as well as C/A and P-Code measurements are used to achieve measurement accuracy.
When the user utilizes GNSS hardware that is dual-frequency, local ionospheric errors are calculated and removed as tropospheric delays are estimated. Also modeled are other error sources, such as phase windup, earth tides and ocean loading.
TERRASTAR-D services uses GLONASS and GPS signals to provide global, high-accuracy positions. It is rugged and performs well in all environments and locations around the world.
