GPS Source S18GT GPS Timing Reference Splitter
Description
Overview
The GPS Source S18GT is a splitter for timing and reference antennas. It allows you to use a single source antenna to power multiple GNSS receivers or synchronization modules on the L-band. The benefit for your system is that you can reduce both the cost of running multiple antennas as well as the clutter of multiple cable arrangements, while the splitter amplifies the input with an optimal signal-to-noise ratio to ensure that any losses caused by splitting the signal are compensated.
Through the use of an antenna DC bias select circuit, the S18GT also provides a powerful redundancy failsafe feature. By applying the antenna’s DC input to multiple RF outputs, the voltages are divided between a DC bias which powers the antenna and DC loads, which remain on standby until they are needed. Should the main power fail, the bias will automatically shift to another input so that power is never interrupted.
Features
- Allows a single source antenna to power multiple receivers
- High-gain, low-noise amplification to offset signal loss
- DC Bias Select Circuit designed to safeguard against failure
- Can stand up to harsh conditions with available weatherproof housing
